December 3rd, 2025 – In four days we have several sprouts! 
I’ve got two Bibb lettuce, and five parris island lettuce sprouts. The middle row is spinach, which has not come up yet. Package said 7-10 days for germination so nothing to worry about yet.
I am curious why the five parris lettuce spouts all came up and only two of the Bibb lettuce did. They have the same germination range, so are some of the Bibb lettuce later or is the environment better for the Parris lettuce? Time will tell.
Ive found the seed starter kit heating pad and basement combo creates a lot of condensation on the inside of the plastic cover. I’ve decided to wipe out this condensation with an old tee shirt so the air doesn’t not stay too humid in the seed starter plastic cover.
So far I have not been using the grow light, so today I started to use the grow light on its low setting for 6 hours a day.
